2)Examine an artist's perception of dance as an art-form.
3)Examine the art-form of dance from a personal perspective.

  1. Alea Sena, Assignment #1.

I view dancing as a way to express the emotions I feel without using words. Dancing to me symbolizes the ability to put myself out there and try something new. I enjoy dancing because it comes naturally to me, and I don't really have to think to hard about it. Another reason I enjoy dancing is because I love being able to get lost in the music and just move. Dance offers me a way to let loose and be care free.

“At times I fear walking that tightrope. I fear the venture into the unknown. But that is part of the act of creating and the act of performing.” -Martha Graham.
I like this quote because this is how I look at life. Even though it is scary to venture into the unknown, I know I need to, to learn. If I didn't I would just be going through the motions and not doing what God has called me to do, to stand out and make a difference.
